This 60 minute webinar will address health care providers to the LGBT community face a world of legal uncertainty based on the multiple federal, state, and local laws; as well with uncertainty with the ever changing CMS and TJC standards and the impact of the Affordable Care Act.

By the end of this webinar you will be able to:    

1. Identify and critically discuss at least 4 primary legal issues surrounding LGBT care in the office and facility setting
2. Understand and apply the various legal terms and principles that impact LGBT care in the office or facility setting.
3. Implement recommendations that can reduce or mitigate potential libelous situations in the provision of care of LGBT patients and in office or facility operations.

This meeting has been approved for a total of 1.0 contact hours of Continuing Education Credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow) and towards CPHRM renewal.
